Josh Simmon’s Black River Tour Kicks Off

This weekend, our master of horror, Josh Simmons, kicks off his Black River tour with three stops around the Pacific Northwest. After a successful weekend at Portland's Linework NW festival, Josh is hitting the road and heading to Canada. On Friday, April 24th, catch Josh in Vancouver at Lucky's for a book signing and screening of three shorts by Simmons, beginning at 7 PM. Next stop, Seattle! Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery welcomes comics scholar and author Bill Schelly on Saturday, April 11 as he presents his new biography Harvey Kurtzman: The Man Who Created Mad and Revolutionized Humor in America. Schelly will give an entertaining and informative slide talk on the illustrious career of one of the pivotal figures in American popular culture. This Week in Fanta Events 11/12-11/16

Wednesday, November 12th Seattle, WA – We're teaming up with our favorite video store non-profit, Scarecrow, to present the deeply influential film, Wild Style. Released in 1983, Wild Style captured the sounds, sights, and moves, of New York hip hop during it's earliest and formative years. It also features rare footage of cats like Grandmaster Flash and Fab 5 Freddy. This special presentation tonight is also featuring the one and only Ed Piskor.
