Tim Lane will sign copies of his fascinating new graphic novel The Lonesome Go. His work is inspired by 1950s pulp magazines, film noir, and EC crime and suspense comic books. The atmospheric artwork perfectly complements the midcentury mythology of Lane's engaging stories.

As an organizer of the recent Short Run Comix & Arts Festival, Eroyn Franklin has kept a prolific schedule. She'll present a preview of her new feature length graphic novel Dirtbag, supported in part by a grant from Seattle's Office of Arts & Culture.

This event also provides an opportunity for a last viewing of the Short Run Marathon art exhibition featuring Josh Simmons, John Porcellino, Ed Piskor, Tom Neely, Pam Wishbow, and MariNaomi.

Fantagraphics Bookstore is located at 1201 S. Vale Street in the heart of Seattle's historic Georgetown arts community. Open daily 11:30 to 8:00 PM, Sundays until 5:00 PM. Phone 206.658.0110. Mark you calendars or our 8th anniversary celebration on December 13 as Robert Williams presents The Complete Zap Comix.
