Tim Kreider Discussion at Headquarters Library in Gainesville, Florida!

Celebrated essayist and cartoonist Tim Kreider will discuss his work and career in Gainesville, Florida, on Saturday, March 22nd! Join them starting at 2:00 PM at The Headquarters Library, and hear Kreider talk of his work for The New York Times, and reflect on his long-running cartoon, The Pain–When Will It End?  Kreider's most recent collection, Twilight of the Assholes: Cartoons & Essays 2005-2009, is even more apocalyptic, deranged, and hilarious! Fantagraphics at the 2014 Asbury Park Comicon!

Yo, Jersey! Several Fantagraphics artists will be guests of honor at the 2014 Asbury Park Comicon on Saturday, April 12th and Sunday, April 13th! The Amazing Art of Jim Flora Exhibit in Connecticut!

In celebration of what would've been Jim Flora's 100th birthday, the Rowayton Arts Center in Rowayton, CT, presents the exhibit The Amazing Art of Jim Flora. This wonderful show is truly a family affair: it's curated by Jim's son, Joel Flora, and both Jim and his wife, Jane, were founding members of the RAC, and active members until their deaths (she in 1985; he in 1998). Freak Scene East Group Art Show in Philadelphia!

Get your freak on with a new art show opening Friday, April 4th in Philadelphia! Titled Freak Scene, this group show spotlights the current stars of underground comix, like Johnny Ryan, our own Jason T. Miles, Mome-contributor Jim Rugg, and a whole host of fellow freaks, including several Seattleites! The opening reception kicks off at 6:00 PM. Trina Robbins Presents Pretty In Ink in Pittsburgh!

If you were at San Diego Comic-Con last year, you may have had a chance to see the Wonder Women: On Paper and Off exhibit. And if not, it's now heading to the ToonSeum in Pittsburgh! Oh Panoptica Ficcio! Max Exhibit in Barcelona!

In 2012, a retrospective exhibition of Max's work, titled Panóptica, traveled through Europe with stops in Valencia, Madrid, Mexico City, and several cities in Brazil! (You can see some photos from those stops on the FLOG here and here.) On Tuesday, March 11th, the Arts Santa Monica Museum in Barcelona opens a new exhibit from Max, continuing where his retrospective show left off: Oh Panòptica Ficció!
