Join us at Fantagraphics Bookstore this Saturday, January 12, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM to celebrate the publication of Tom Van Deusen’s new comix collection Expelling My Truth. This party includes an exhibition of original art from the book with readings by Simon Hanselmann, Max Clotfelter, and Van Deusen, along with the ever-popular complimentary refreshments. This event coincides with the monthly Georgetown Art Attack featuring colorful visual and performing arts presentations throughout the historic art community.

On Saturday, January 26 at 8:00 PM, Fantagraphics Bookstore and Georgetown Records, in association with Goethe Institut Seattle, present an experimental music performance by Berlin duo Hackedepicciotto, featuring Alexander Hacke (Einsturzende Neubauten) and Danielle De Picciotto (Crime & the City Solution.) Many longtime Seattle residents recall the remarkable Einsturzende Neubauten concert at Myrtle Edwards Park in 1986, which left an indelible mark on our region’s music scene. This free event promises to be equally momentous. These fascinating artists will discuss their work the following day at 3:00 PM at the Goethe Pop Up at 1424 11th Avenue on Capitol Hill.
Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery is located at 1201 S. Vale Street (at Airport Way S.) only minutes from downtown Seattle. Open daily 11:30 to 8:00 PM, Sundays until 5:00 PM. Phone 206-557-4910.
