Portland, OR – Floating World Comics is hosting a spectacular art show and book signing this Thursday with comics heavy-weight, Ed Luce to coincide with the recent release of the hardcover Wuvable Oaf collection (in stores now!) Floating World is one of our favorite comic shops in the whole wide world, and we love when they host our favorite artists in the whole wide world. What I’m trying to say is there’s going to be a lot of love at this art show and signing, and you’ll want to get in on this. Festivities run from 6-8 PM

Friday, June 5th
Los Angeles, CA – A Daniel Clowes in store event to end all Daniel Clowes in store events. Los Angeles megastore, Meltdown Comics is hosting a Complete Eightball release party this Friday from 6-10 PM and it is a doozy! There will be prizes, a live interview between Clowes and Mark Frauenfelder from Boing Boing, and of course a signing. Entry into the event is free with a pre-ordered copy of the book from Meltdown. Austin, TX – Get a taste of the South with a kick off signing at Austin Books and Comics with special guest, Josh Simmons! His tour dates as winding down, but we’re not done with having fun. Get in early and have your copy of Black River signed by the creep comic master himself. As always, there’ll be gorgeous prints from Black River and other Simmons’ titles for sale. Chicago, IL – The Hernandez Brothers will be stopping by Graham Crackers Loop Chicago location for an in-store signing to kick off the beginning of CAKE. From 6-8 PM stop by the store to meet the creators of Love and Rockets, get your books signed, and talk comics with two of the most prolific and influential cartoonists of the past 30 years! Saturday, June 6th
Chicago, IL – CAKE! or Chicago Alternative Comics Expo. Happening all weekend long. Fantagraphics will be tabling with fresh new books for you to add to your collection. Some new titles like Fante Bukowski, Not Funny Ha-Ha, Dorfler, Bright Eyed at Midnight, and The Complete Eightball! Austin, TX – Today marks the innagural New South Festival of Literary Arts and Cartooning. Stop by the French Legation Museum from 11-6 PM to meet special guest Josh Simmons, guest of honor Jim Rugg, and many others. This is their first show and it’s bound to be a hit. Get in on the ground floor and meet some of the hottest cartoonists and illustrators such as: Hellen Jo, Nathan Fox, Derek M. Ballard, Jonny Negron.
