Ray Fenwick’s slow jams

Our beloved Ray Fenwick has been busy lately, check out his New print: And his Limited edition Hall of Best Knowledge bookplates from Tiny Showcase (available with or without the book): And his amazing hand-painted Friendship Bracelet slideshow:  And his most excellent recent illustration work for The New York Times, The Stranger, and Swindle magazines. See here. And his Hit List. And most especially, the slow jams mix tape he made for you.

Sneak peek video & photos: Strange and Stranger

Our fourth and final preview today is of Strange and Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko by Blake Bell. Unfortunately we weren't able to debut this book at the MoCCA festival as planned, but here you can take a quick virtual tour, and of course it is available for pre-order! Watch the video above and click here for a gallery of preview photos. (And don't forget you can also read the intro and, if you're logged in, get a downloadable PDF preview too.)

Chocolate Cheeks for 6/13/08

Steven Weissman was on a birthday bender last week and didn't turn in his "Chocolate Cheeks" strip… Actually, we just skipped a week because I was at MoCCA in NY and wasn't able to update the site. In any event, Ribs says "Here's this week's strip: ripped from the headlines!" (Remember, you must be registered and logged in to read.)

2001 Comic Book

Dan Goodsell uploaded an old Howard Johnson's Kids Menu comic book to his Flickr page. If you've sat through 2001 you know that HoJo's really had their hand on the pulse of childhood fun with that one.

Inkstuds talk Ditko

Blake Bell joins the Inkstuds radio program to discuss all things Steve Ditko. A must-listen for Steve Ditko fans. Above image from Creepy #13, reproduced in STRANGE & STRANGER: THE WORLD OF STEVE DITKO.
