We interrupt this Flog!…

If anyone has tried to email me directly in the last week or two and not received a response, there's a good chance I never got the message. I had a major laptop meltdown last week and there was a window of a day or two where I was unable to get my messages and it looks like they've disappeared. If I owe you a reply and haven't given one, please send me an email again before thinking I'm a negligent dick. Thanks!

Batman named new Nike spokesperson.

But now that I've planted the seed for a great commercial after seeing the above screenshot from the Batman TV show (think about it, Nike, Batman may even be a better role model than most NBA stars and since he isn't real, he'll do what you want), don't forget to send me a check. From Batmania's awesome Los Onomatopeyas.

Jonathan Bennett draws RAW

The Washington Post ran a major feature on graphic novels this morning, but the highlight is this handsome strip created to accompany the piece, by Post writer Bob Thompson and MOME contributor Jonathan Bennett, about Thompson's visit to the studio of Art Spiegelman and Francoise Mouly.

Sketchbook Set

Now that I've posted all of my sketchbook entries on the Flog, I've archived them all as a set on Flickr. I hope some of you've enjoyed this Flog filler!

Georgetown Radio

A couple of Friday night videos for your enjoyment, consisting of footage filmed in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood (where our Bookstore & Gallery resides) in the early 1990s, and featuring sound design (and a cameo) by our own Nico Vassilakis. These are very cool. (If they don’t display below, click for Part 1 and Part 2.)
