Pham & Regé at Family

John Pham has a joint release party for his Sublife Vol. 1 and Ron Regé Jr.'s Against Pain at Family in LA on Sunday October 19 at 7 PM. Music by Ron in the guise of Discombobulated Ventriloquist. Sounds like a must-go to me!

Boody Pulp Coloring

While going through some of Craig Yoe's comic books here at the office I came across a particularly great example of the old pulp coloring. Why they didn't bother to just build the entirety of the suit's black color with cyan I don't know… (That's a Boody Rogers comic page.)    UPDATE: "Jacob, Man, you and Frank Santoro should have a blog where you just say stuff that doesn't make sense to anyone." – Tom Devlin.

Bookplates are back

(Disclaimer: Signature plates are limited in quantity and available only while supplies last. In the event that we run out, signature plates will not be backordered. Bookplates are not available separately from their respective books and are only available to individual consumers.)

A smart idea from the mind of Ray: Little books that act like arts grants. If you make real money for a living I don't know why you wouldn't buy a Coffee Money Zine. You will get bored with your new gadgets. From Ray: "The purchase of a CMZ pays for one month's worth of coffee, and allows me to loiter in the coffee shop from 7 – 8:30 a.m. every weekday while I practice writing. CMZ sponsors get 30 days of little drawings, some good, some not, much like my own notebooks. The concept for each one is different….
