Today would have been the 58th birthday of Kim Thompson. Recently I stumbled across this photograph, from the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery in 2012, while looking through the Fantagraphics flickr feed; I keep coming back to it. It has been a long time coming, but it is our deep pleasure to be able to reveal to you the cover art for Pogo – The Complete Syndicated Comic Strips Vol. 3: "Evidence to the Contrary". While there are often delays that push back release dates, our production on this book was slowed by the sudden and unexpected passing of our co-editor and co-publisher, Kim Thompson, in June 2013.
