Spotted in the Museum's gallery space: this Comics Journal original cover art by R. Sikoryak (from an unidentified issue)…
…and this Walt Kelly original Pogo Sunday strip:
Next, it was off to Brooklyn for the Jason exhibit opening and book signing at Rocketship! There was already a pretty good crowd early on:

The man himself, diligently signing and sketching the night away:
Rocketship co-owner Mary Gibbons looks on as Jason signs, next to a rapidly depleting spinner rack full of his books:
Big ups to Mary and Alex for putting on a gangbusters event (and for much, much more, which I'll get to subsequently). Be sure to check out Alex's report on the Rocketship blog. Aside from meeting Jason for the first time, the highlights of the evening for me were seeing Jackson Publick, co-creator of The Venture Bros., in the signing line, and receiving a copy of the new Magic Whistle from Sam Henderson. Click on through here for more photos of the event, including close-ups of some of the art and better views of the exhibit taken on Sunday post-fest.
Coming next: Day 1!
