Fantagraphics is hiring a Bookkeeper.

Full-time, 5-day/40-hour week, Monday-Friday
Salary range: $48,000-$50,000
Medical benefits, 401(k) with employer match
Seattle-based

We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

Responsibilities:
– Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
– Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger, and other supporting documents, as needed
– Ensure posting process is performed daily and navigate any posting anomalies
– Enter data and maintain records
– Apply payments to invoices/payable
– Record credit card transactions and match to corresponding receipts
– Process royalty reports through our accounting system
– Balance and maintain accurate ledgers for bank accounts
– Make weekly deposits
– Process bi-weekly payroll through Paychex in a timely manner
– Enrolling new employees in the payroll and health insurance systems
– Support closing process

Requirements:
– Proven bookkeeping experience
– Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
– Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
– Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
– Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
– Proficiency in English and Excel
– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time
– Compensation: $48,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
