We’re going to Italy for the Lucca Comics & Games festival on October 30th-November 3rd! A statement from the organizers of the show:
“We are honored and proud to welcome Fantagraphics to Lucca Comics & Games 2024. For the first time, an international publisher will be featured in our prestigious Napoleone Pavilion, offering a unique opportunity for all Festival attendees: the chance to visit the Fantagraphics stand, explore, and purchase American editions of their books. It’s an incredible opportunity to engage firsthand with the vast catalog of stories and volumes from a celebrated American publisher renowned worldwide.
Additionally, visitors can meet co-founder Gary Groth and editor Conrad Groth. Conrad will also be holding a portfolio review session, providing selected comic talents with the incredible chance
to discuss their work and, perhaps, open new doors.
We are grateful to Gary and Conrad for joining us this year as we look ahead together to the 60th anniversary of Lucca Comics & Games and the 50th anniversary of Fantagraphics in 2026. Above all, we wish Gary and Conrad an immersive experience in the worlds of Lucca Comics & Games and our medieval and magic city, where we are all participant and creator, together.”
Visitors to the show can shop our books at stand NAP 227, which is in the Napoleone Pavilion, in the center of Lucca, next to Palazzo Ducale!

In addition to the portfolio review session with Conrad Groth, attendees can also enjoy a panel with Gary Groth, Daniel Clowes, Werther Dell’Edera, Scott Snyder, Tula Lotay, Jeph Loeb, Sean Philipps, Skottie Young, Dustin Nguyen, Lorenzo Mattotti, and Silvia Ziche; moderated by Riccardo Corbò! The “Palmares: Eisner, Fauve, Yellow Kid, raccontati da chi li ha vinti” panel will take place on November 2nd at 5:30 pm at Si15 – Auditorium di San Romano–more information can be found here (link).
And that’s not the only chance to listen to a talk with Daniel Clowes! He’ll be on a panel with Igort and Jean-Pierre Dionnet on October 31st at 6:00 pm at Si8 – Sala Tobino Palazzo Ducale (details can be found at the link) and he’ll be discussing his work with Luca Valtorta on November 1st at 4:00 pm at Si8 – Sala Tobino Palazzo Ducale (details can be found at the link)!
