    From Henry Art Gallery: Join us for an afternoon of cartooning and conversation led by Shary Flennikan, a longtime member of the underground comics collective the Air Pirates, and Larry Reid, curator of Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery. In the first part of this two-hour workshop, they will discuss the Air Pirates’ colorful and contentious history with the use appropriated imagery, and the semiotics of such cultural icons as Disney’s Mickey Mouse.     Every June, the Georgetown Merchants Association puts on a carnival in their delightfully eclectic neighborhood. This year is the 10th anniversary and features a stellar lineup of activities like the power tool races, street performances, and live music. Bands this year feature amazing Seattle locals like Lisa Prank, Star Anna, and Maszer.
