  Today would have been the 58th birthday of Kim Thompson. Recently I stumbled across this photograph, from the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery in 2012, while looking through the Fantagraphics flickr feed; I keep coming back to it. Pogo Vol. 3: Evidence to the Contrary by Walt Kelly – Cover Uncovered

It has been a long time coming, but it is our deep pleasure to be able to reveal to you the cover art for Pogo – The Complete Syndicated Comic Strips Vol. 3: "Evidence to the Contrary". While there are often delays that push back release dates, our production on this book was slowed by the sudden and unexpected passing of our co-editor and co-publisher, Kim Thompson, in June 2013. Toronto Trouble and Other Fun

  Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery is pleased to welcome acclaimed Canadian artist, musician, and producer Don Pyle to Seattle to present his photography exhibit "Toronto Punk and Other Trouble 1976 – 1980" at Machine House Brewery in Georgetown. The show features Pyle's pictures of seminal Toronto punk bands along with early images of The Clash, Ramones, Blondie, Iggy Pop, Dead Boys and others. As a musician, Pyle was a member of Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, widely recognized for their musical contributions to the Kids in the Hall television show.  His photography show opens Wednesday, September 24 and remains on view through…
